Welcome to Ms. Hammer's Class Summer 2008 The eighth grade must read The Diary of Anne Frank for their summer reading.  There are focus questions that they must complete while they are reading the book.  Below are the questions that go with the reading.        Directions:  As you read The Diary Of Anne Frank, focus on the following questions or statements to help you understand what you are reading.  Take notes for each of the following as you read the book.  I hope everyone has a great summer and I will see you in September!!   1.What country is Anne and her family originally from? 2.What country did Anne and her family move to ? 3.Why and when did she leave her original country? 4.What was the Secret Annex? 5.Why did Anne and her family go there? 6.What laws were established against Jewish people? 7.Who established them? 8.What war was taking place while Anne was writing her diary? 9.What became of Anne, her family, and the other people in the Secret Annex? Also, the following supplies are needed for eighth grade Social Studies.   One 1 or 2 inch three ring binder.   Three Subject notebook.
